Checking the fields

A great way to get to know the horses and complete an important task at the same time is:

Walk through the pastures, observe the condition of horses, make notes of any concerns, and bring a brush with you.  This is a great way to bond.   Also if you notice some need fly masks if you can put fly masks on the ones that need it.

Be safe:  Do not go into pastures with out safe shoes, (no thongs)

             Always wear a helmet and a shoe with a heel when riding.

             Make sure you have been given the herd safety talk from an experienced volunteer.
